Dear Dawn -
I read your book – every page – with great delight. You let people into your life in the most charming way -
While giving me “rules of the road” in bargain hunting I never knew existed.
Congratulations!

Dawn, I have a question.
When you go to a place like Good Will or the Salvation Army stores, can you negotiate a price?
Or is that against the “rules?”

Hi Corinne,
I believe you can negotiate prices; if the item is obvoiusly damaged (but repairable), you are most welcome to ask for a discount, but keep in mind these prices are already pretty low! You can also haggle over prices at garage sales and rummage sales!
