Author Interview with Vampire Fantasies Author Alina Oswald

There’s something about vampires that continues to haunt and fascinate us. Back then, there was Dracula and later on, it was Lestat. These days, however, it’s Edward Cullen and the brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore that hold our attention. Although the idea of death, darkness and blood thirst scare us, there’s a sense of curiosity about them that we just can’t shake.

Writer and photographer Alina Oswald specializes in tackling dark and often taboo topics that capture human interest and imagination. In this book, she turns her attention to exploring the myths and beliefs surrounding the  mysterious creatures we call vampires. From their thirst for blood, their amazing speed and possible capacity for human feelings, Alina pieces her own visual interpretations of them. Using vampires as an art subject, every photo reveals her attempts at discovering what it is that intrigues us about them.
