Mr. Ungerecht has written a very interesting and controversial book about God and the universe.
His aim in writing the book is to bring a greater degree of logic and reason into our search for spiritual understanding.
To do that, he brings up interesting points and in the interview we discuss:
The marriage of faith, science, reason and religion.
Mutually exclusive beliefs from different religions, e.g. reincarnation.
The absurdity of thinking that we were born into this world by chance.
Bringing religion into the classroom to discuss intelligent design and evolution.
The absurdity of being born at all!
Ken challenges prevailing atheistic beliefs on how we came about in this world. He believes that it’s absurd to think that we came to this world by chance. In the book and interview Ken shows us the numerical value of the likelihood of being born.
“Life is an incredible gift from a God/Goddess and our fundamental purpose is to learn to accept it and make it fun,” says Ken.
From Ken’s Website:
The question as to whether there is a supreme intelligence that has influence in the universe and the world is one that has intrigued, confounded, and plagued the minds of men as long as there have been minds of men. The answer to this question, whichever it is, is one that has profound implications and is definitely one worth pursuing. But the very pursuit is something that has engendered a tremendous amount of discord in the world. In this book, which is deliberately short and short on detail, the author aims to stimulate a perhaps somewhat different approach to this very important question. This book is intended to be efficient, readable, and informative; the hope is that it might encourage you to further investigation and communication with regards to the areas of discussion within.
Ken’s book is available both on paperback and Kindle on Amazon.
